EMI TA

    1. EMI Teaching Assistant (EMI TA): To meet the teaching needs of the EMI course, the EMI TA need to lead students in EMI courses under the guidance and supervision of the course instructors.
    2. Training method: Each semester, the Teaching and Learning Development and Resources Center of the Office Academic Affairs and each academic department will plan to offer EMI TA training courses.
    3. How to Get the EMI TA Qualification ?
      1. (1) The university adopts the electronic "Study Passport" method:Students who want to be an EMI TA have to attend at least 8 hours of training courses offered by the Office Academic Affairs and your department, and be certified on the "The Website of Teaching Assistant Training Information." And then, the qualification of EMI TA will be granted directly after you pass the training. If you need a paper copy of the certificate, you can print it online after that.
      2. (2) The 8 hours of training courses include four major courses (at least) offered by the Office of Academic Affairs and one major course and two supporting courses offered by your department.
  • The Office of Academic Affairs will offer four main courses.The first four courses listed below are elective and you have to take two of the courses.The final two courses are required for EMI TA.
    1. (1) Teaching assistant system and responsibilities.
    2. (2) Class management.
    3. (3) Effective teaching strategies.
    4. (4) Teacher-student communication and interpersonal interaction.
    5. (5) Classroom language (including pronunciation). (Required)
    6. (6) Intercultural Communication. (Required)
