An English as a Medium of Instruction Teaching Assistant (EMI TA) supports students in EMI courses under the guidance and supervision of the course instructor.
Training: Each semester, EMI TA training courses are organized by the Teaching and Learning Development and Resources Center, the Office of Academic Affairs, and academic units.
Certification:
- NSYSU uses an electronic “Study Passport” system: EMI TAs must complete at least 8 hours of training courses offered by the Office of Academic Affairs and academic units. Training records are certified through the Teaching Assistant Training Information website. Upon completion, participants will be granted EMI TA qualification. A paper certificate may be printed online after certification.
- The required 8 hours of training must include at least four core courses offered by the Office of Academic Affairs, as well as one core course and two supplementary courses offered by academic units.
