【Call for Submissions】The Third National Video Competition on Innovative EMI Teaching

Share your EMI teaching! Submit a short video that highlights your innovative classroom practices.

National Sun Yat-sen University is pleased to announce the Third National Video Competition on Innovative EMI Teaching. Faculty are invited to design unit-based lesson plans and submit corresponding videos that demonstrate EMI teaching in real classroom settings.

The competition aims to highlight innovative teaching strategies that effectively enhance student learning and actively promote the use of English. It seeks to support students' comprehensive development in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing, thereby fostering both subject mastery and language proficiency to strengthen their global competitiveness.

Selected outstanding videos will be showcased on our website, offering exemplary EMI teaching models across disciplines. This serves as a resource for EMI instructors nationwide, promoting peer learning and professional growth.

 

Competition Timeline

  • Preliminary round registration deadline(Submit Lesson Plan): January 12, 2026 (Monday)

  • Final round Video Submission Deadline(Submit Class Recording): April 27, 2026 (Monday)

 

Awards (Note: In case of no suitable candidates, the award may be withheld)

  1. High Distinction Award (1 recipient): NT$30,000 and a certificate.

  2. Excellence Awards (3 recipients): NT$20,000 and a certificate each.

  3. Honorable Mention Awards (5 recipients): NT$5,000 and a certificate each.
