2023-24 EMI PD events
We are excited to announce a series of EMI Professional Development (PD) events starting from Oct. 23, 2023. These include:
1. Onsite training courses (Registration)
2. EMI Teacher Community gatherings (Registration)
3. Teaching practices (microteaching/ class observation/ mentoring) (Registration: Oct., Nov., Dec.)
4. Domain-specific workshops (Registration)
Teachers who meet the criteria of each level, which includes completing 8-hour onsite training, participating in three EMI Teacher Community gatherings, and conducting teaching practices, will receive a certificate for that level. To help track your progress throughout these training events, we will conduct self-assessment surveys both before and after the training.
Furthermore, in accordance with the MOE's "EMI Faculty Training Certification" criteria, participants who (1) acquire certificates for all three levels, (2) provide course feedback, and (3) pass the final assessment will be awarded a 'Completion Certificate' recognized by the Ministry of Education. The details of the final assessment are currently being formulated and will be shared once confirmed.
